The project Cidade do Pecado, is an EP by Brazilian artist and rapper Abebe Bikila (BK), which portrays his feelings and impressions about the city of Rio de Janeiro in the period of social isolation, how the city corrupts us and controls our wills and desires. The Visual and Creative identity was based on reports and experiences lived by BK. The work brought to light the social and cultural vision from the point of view of BK, who during the period of social isolation observed how the people around him, and even himself, used artifices to experience what the carioca night has to offer. When BK realized that he had more to lose than to gain, the EP Cidade do Pecado was born, telling these stories in verse form.
The songs on the EP report proof of what it’s like to live in the City of Sin. We express these feelings graphically, with elements that refer to sin and photographs that suggest the dark and seductive side that inhabits us. The solution was to highlight the sin in the entire project mix, in the photos, in the colors, in the typography and in the tone of voice.
