Bala Desejo is a Brazilian band of bossa-nova, indie pop, tropicalist music, pop rock and MPB. Formed in 2021 by singers and composers Dora Morelenbaum, Julia Mestre, Lucas Nunes and Zé Ibarra, and idealized by the Coala Festival, Bala Desejo received some of the most importante music awards as the Multishow Award for Brazilian Music and the Latin Grammy, in addition to participating in festivals such as Rock in Rio and Coala Festival. The band’s visual identity is directly connected with the cultural references of the members, and seeks to update concepts already presented in the past, mainly in musical styles such as: Bossa Nova, Tropicália and Pop-Rock by the Jovem Guarda.
